We Have a Region!!!

We heard from the Russian specialist that the agency has selected the region for our adoption! Last Thursday, we received a welcome packet from the Russian team. We needed to fill out some paperwork including a preference checklist that helped them choose a region for us. We also needed to get some documents notarized but were still able to get it sent back to the agency in Friday's mail. So it didn't take long for them to get back to us. Now I will be spending my time learning about the region. It is so exciting to know where our little one is. I had the biggest adrenaline rush when I got the email. It was hard getting through the work day! We will hear soon from the Russian team on what paperwork we need to include in our dossier (the packet of paperwork that gets sent to Russia.) I have spring break next week so I should be able to spend some good time getting together whatever it is we need. We are still waiting on our home study paper which I'm positive will need to be a part of the initial dossier. We are also still compiling paperwork that we need to send to the USCIS (to get permission to adopt a foreign-born orphan.) So wish us luck as we continue through the paperwork craziness. Today we are giving thanks to the Lord for his many blessings (did I mention I'm excited to know the region!!)
