And They're Off

Our self-study papers along with our transcultural parenting plan, cultural worksheets, older child paper, proof of health insurance, and considering the health and background of children needing adoptive families medical checklist are in the envelope and ready to be sent out tomorrow! Aaron and I spent the last couple of days reviewing each others papers and finishing up some of the other paper requirements. I have to say that Aaron did an excellent job on his paper. I think his was a lot better than mine. It was longer too. When we were writing our papers we didn't discuss what we were writing so it was pretty cool to see how similar our thoughts were on some topics. While I was on the paperwork kick I decided to go ahead and get three copies each of our birth certificates and marriage certificates. They can take 4-6 weeks to process and get sent so I figured I'd get a head start on those. The next step is to hear from the agency and get our home studies scheduled. I have no idea how long it will be before that will happen. We'll just wait and see. Right now I just feel great having this part finished!

Congratulations on completing the paperwork! What a relief that must be. I'm so excited for the two of you. I can't wait to see your little one at the end of your journey.

Good job Aaron and Beth on another step completed. I know I would be working on it for another 3 months or so.
