We're Adopting!
Dear family and friends, most of you have probably heard that Aaron and I have decided to adopt a child from Russia. If not, surprise! We have decided to start a blog in order to keep everyone up-to-date on our journey. But let me start at the beginning. Aaron and I have been trying to start our family for over two years. We tried everything from supplements, herbs, lifestyle changes, acupuncture, artificial inseminations, and finally one round of in-vitro fertilization. The multiple doctor appointments and medications became emotionally and physically draining. The shots were especially difficult for me since I have a phobia of needles (although I'm proud to say that I only fainted a couple times!) We knew that financially we needed to make a decision between trying another round of in-vitro (with a 5% chance of success) or starting the process to adopt. After much prayer and discussion, we both felt that God was leading us to adoption. So here were are starting our journey to find the little boy or girl that God has chosen for us. Please pray that God will give us patience and strength as we start the unpredictable process of international adoption.
