A Step in the Right Direction

I haven't forgotten that I have a blog. I just haven't had any adoption related news to post. However, recently we heard some hopeful news. We receive weekly updates on the status of our region from our adoption agency. All summer long the weekly update said that the agency didn't expect referrals until "September or later." This past week it said they were expecting referrals "in the near future." That sounds a lot better to me! It doesn't mean that we will get a referral as soon as the region starts up again since there may be couples ahead of us in the "waiting line," however, it is a step in the right direction. This has prompted me to get out the paperwork and get going on dossier part two. And I love paperwork!!!! I'm just trying to think positively :). The motivation is that if we have our dossier part two finished before trip one we can bring it with us which could decrease the wait time between trips. Despite having our region closed, the summer is actually flying by and I can't believe I will be going back to work in less than two weeks!
