Still Waiting

Frequently Asked Question: "Any news?"
Answer: "Nope, we're still waiting."

I will admit that I was feeling pretty hopeful that we would have received a referral for a child by now. However, our agency did give us a time frame of 0-8 months for a referral. We are in month 6 of that time frame.

Frequently Asked Question: "Did you request a boy or girl?"
Answer: We did not specifically request a boy or girl. We said we would accept either gender. More people request girls which usually makes their wait for a referral longer. Because we said "either" we will most likely get a boy. I would be completely shocked if we received a referral for a girl.

There hasn't been a lot going on with us otherwise. Aaron has been doing some traveling for work. Floyd is nice to have around when Aaron isn't here. His large size and deep bark makes me feel a little safer. Aaron has also been learning the art of wine making. I'm beginning to think that if he had the available supplies, we would have a batch of every possible fruit going in the basement! He currently has a batch of blueberry and a batch of pear going. I've been having a good school year at Pinewood. I work with some great kids and I really enjoy them. I am looking forward to a couple days off at Thanksgiving though!
