A Tough Week

This has been a tough week for Aaron and me. We had to decline a referral of a child from Russia this week. We were completely surprised that we even received a referral since our paperwork wasn't even in Russia yet but because of certain circumstances this referral was made available to us. After hearing back from the international adoption doctor (we sent her the information we had for her to review), many discussions, lots of research, and tons of prayer we decided we could not go ahead with the referral due to lifelong issues that we did not feel capable of dealing with. It was an incredibly difficult decision to make - it not only affected us but it also affected a sweet, innocent child. Please say a prayer for this little one and every other little one that doesn't know the love of a mommy and daddy.
